Privacy policy for Moonpetal Garden
Last updated: 24 October 2026
1. In short
Moonpetal Garden collects no personal data. The game has no account, no analytics, no advertising and no tracking, and it does not send any data to me or to third parties.
2. Save games
Your progress and settings are saved as files on your own computer (%APPDATA%\Godot\app_userdata\Moonpetal Garden\). They contain only game data such as plants, currencies and achievements. You can delete them at any time in the settings or by removing the folder.
3. Steam
The game is sold and started through Steam by Valve Corporation. When you play, the Steam client handles your purchase, achievements, your online status ("Rich Presence", e.g. the number of islands) and – if enabled – the synchronisation of the save files via Steam Cloud. This data is processed by Valve under the Steam Privacy Policy (store.steampowered.com/privacy_agreement). I only see anonymous totals that Steam provides to every developer, such as sales figures and the share of players who unlocked an achievement.
4. Discord status (optional)
If the Discord app runs on your computer, the game can show "Playing Moonpetal Garden" with your play time, islands and hybrids in your Discord profile. The game only talks to the local Discord app; Discord then shows this status to your contacts under its own privacy policy. You can switch this off at any time under Settings → Game → Discord.
5. These web pages
The Moonpetal Garden pages are part of my website luminouslisa.de; its privacy policy applies (hosting, server logs). The statistics page loads anonymous totals from Steam on my server, so your browser does not contact Steam. The pages use no cookies; the chosen language is part of the address.
6. Children
The game is suitable for all ages and contains no chat, no user-generated content and no in-game purchases.
7. Your rights
As I do not store personal data from the game, there is nothing I could disclose or delete. For data held by Steam or Discord, please contact those services. For questions about this policy you can reach me at the address below.
